About South 4 Farms LLC: It all began in Febuary 2010 with two taps, some tubing and a bucket. Two days later, i had 5 gallons of sap, a turkey fryer and a roastin pan. After six hours of boiling, i had made 12oz of Pure Maple Syrup....and i was HOOKED!
Now after nine years of trial and many errors and five years of selling at SOKY Marketplace, we are expanding with sugarbush leases and other exciting upgrades!
Until then, pick up a Bottle at Kirby and Poe Slaughterhouse, Paradise Point or Barren River Lodge gift shop. You can find all of our 100% Pure< Kentucky Proud Products at Community Farmers Market on Saturday from 8am-1pm.

Tubing in the Woods. This is where it all begins!
Look at that sap boil! Notice the gradient change from the left (sweetened sap entering syrup pan from flue pan), to the right, near syrup!
It takes about 55 gallons of raw sap to make only 1 gallon of syrup. That's a lot of boiling.
